Last Friday evening GroundUp headed to Ajax training ground in Parow to attend 2upGamers the 8th Lap.

2upGamers is held on the first Friday of each month and looks to promote computer gaming in and around Cape Town. All the major platforms are supported, Xbox, Playstation, PC and Nintendo. They provide finger snacks. There is a cash bar and a good few hours of friendly gaming competition.

This month saw them supporting the Peninsula School Feeding Scheme and the Blisters for Bread fun walk to be held on Sunday the 26th of August at the Green Point Cricket Club. Good Hope FM DJ and Blisters for Bread ambassador Seano and PSFA’s Janine Tilley discussed the event.

The 8th Lap was sponsored by 4 elements Gaming Festivals, Friends of Design, Nintendo South Africa, Microsoft South Africa and Ster-Kinekor Entertainment.
