I am a Coloured Assimilationist according to criteria enumerated by A Abdurahman and C Ziervogel (1938). In 1988 I broke the cultural stigma and taboo regarding fraternization with people of colour. I also worked for several Coloured Newspapers, namely South Press and Grassroots and suffered persecution because of my support for the anti-apartheid movement. I do not consider myself to be "historically disenfranchised" but share history with those who fought against such oppression. in 2010 I was cross-questioned on my racial identity in a hostile inquistion which put faith on trial and went into detail about my skin colour, my hair style and association with various people of colour. I was forced to consider my race identity under these circumstances and declared before the judge that "I am a Coloured." The court proceeded to engage in apartheid-era race classification supported by the pseudo-science of eugenics and found that i was "an absurdity". The attack against my authenticity as a Coloured and a Jew makes for interesting reading and is sure to go down in the literature of racism under the ANC government. For the record, I do have a colour. I am therefore a Coloured. Also, I am considered a Khoisan by IRASA and also King Cornelius.
